Jay Riordan is the “runner up” of season 1 of NBC’s reality competition series “American Dream Builders.” Jay’s 25 years in construction and design experience afforded him the ability and fortitude to overcome many of the obstacles he faced in the challenges during the season.
Jay is the current owner and president of Riordan Signature Homes, a family owned and operated business originally founded by his father, James. The company's vision of quality is accented by Jay's commitment to melding old-world craftsmanship with new-world innovation. Over the course of his career, Jay has completed over one hundred high-end, custom built homes, and he has received the Crystal Key Award from 'The Home Builders' Association of Greater Chicagoland for the past five consecutive years.

Jay is a Chicago native and comes from a large, Irish family. He and his wife Sandra have been married for seventeen years and are the proud parents of a set of both triplets and twins, all boys. Jay approaches live with compassion and dedication, both of which he considers the key to his success.
